ANDRE AYEW APPEALS TO AUTHORITIES TO HAVE MERCY ON PITCH INVADER

Ghana Black Stars captain, Andre Ayew has pleaded with authorities to tamper justice with mercy with respect to the pitch invader who got arrested in the Ghana-South Africa game yesterday.

The pitch invader who has been identified as Awal stormed the field as the police and security personnel at the Cape Coast stadium gave him a hot chase.

He managed to dribble his way past three security officers but luck eluded him as he fell to the ground and got in the grips of the police.

Reports earlier indicated the Awal who is a former 400 metres runner for Spam SHS has been processed for court but it is unclear whether he has been freed or granted bail.

Captain of Ghana, Andre Ayew took to twitter to appeal to authorities to get the culprit freed but also advised enthusiastic fans to be wary of going against security protocol at the stadium.
