HEARTS DO NOT RELY ON FRIENDLY MATCHES TO PAY SALARIES - SUNSUM


Hearts of Oak National Chapters Organizer, Paa Kofi Sunsum has vehemently denied claims that Hearts management rely on friendly matches to pay salaries of players and officials at the club.

He added that one George Amoako of Asante Kotoko is the brain behind this falsehood regarding the financial situation of Accra Hearts of Oak.

He however confirmed he would love his club to honour the upcoming anniversary game with their arch- rivals Asante Kotoko in honour of former President John Agyekum Kufuor.

JOSE MOURINHO AVOIDS JAIL TERM


Jose Mourinho has reportedly accepted a one-year jail term from the Spanish tax authorities for allegedly cushioning €3.3 million of earnings in offshore accounts while at Real Madrid.

Spanish Media reports that a deal has finally been settled whereby Mourinho will pay 60% of the amount of money concerned and that he will no longer be subjected to a jail term according to Spanish laws.

LUKE SHAW LAUDS MOURINHO


Manchester United defender Luke Shaw has lauded his manager Jose Mourinho for having faith in him all these years and giving him the opportunity to excel at the club.

He stated that his initial two years with Mourinho were tough but that made him stronger and well-equipped for a sterling opening season like this.

The in-form left back has started all games for United and provided a couple of assists as well as a crucial goal against Burnley.
